About Us: Transition II is dedicated to promoting quality of life and greater independence for aging and special needs Vermonters through employment, community involvement and home care choices. Since 1981 Transition II has been at the forefront of providing services to its participants in a manner which reflects the specific needs of each person. Transition II is now seeking dynamic individuals to join its Board and help steer the organization towards even greater success.
Responsibilities:
- • Provide strategic direction and guidance to achieve organizational goals.
- • Provide financial review and oversight.
- • Collaborate with fellow board members to make informed decisions.
- • Advocate for the organization’s mission and values.
Requirements:
- • Passion for helping aging and special needs Vermonters achieve quality of life and greater independence through employment, community involvement and home care choices.
- • Leadership experience in a non-profit, corporate, or community setting.
- • Experience in human services, legal, accounting/audit, and/or financial professions.
- • Attending (in person or remotely) quarterly 2-hour board meetings.
- • A time commitment of 2-5 hours per quarter for Board work.
